We arrived at Onslow on Halloween. I set up my decor, but apparently they already had their Halloween event the weekend prior. I still really enjoyed my setup.
We spent the first few days getting settled in and redoing the kitchen cabinet interiors. We had been having troubles with the arrangement, but I am super happy with the new setup.
We visited the North Carolina Aquarium and hiked the trail around it. It was nice.
We spent time walking the beach and just chilling out.
I flew to Dallas for a few days to help James get his home setup a bit better for living now that he has been in it for a while. I met his cat, which still remains nameless. We got him all settled and the place a bit more ‘homey’.
When I got back to NC, I went to Studio Seven in Wilmington. This is where I got my right conch and upper helix piercings. I spent time with Tori curating my ears and got my left ear garden-themed 14k gold (rose/white) jewelry. Lexi pierced my flat, faux rook and two mid helix. The only thing left for that ear for now is getting a 14k white and rose gold ring for my daith. We also curated my left ear with sea theme jewelry. I am not sure I will go with what we set up, but it is a start! This is my Christmas present from Ed.
We took a ferry to Cape Lookout and rented an ATV. We had such a great time! We found several conch that were in great shape. Ed found a teeny baby sea turtle that was making it’s way to the ocean. I won’t say I helped it out, but I won’t say I didn’t….
The day before we left Onslow, Ed busted his head open on the slide out. He was walking at full pace and WHAM! the next thing I knew, he was flat on his back! Fortunately, he didn’t require stitches, but man, he really hit it hard. He was sore for a few days.
